"On May 12, 2022, the City of Los Angeles’ recognition of the original Chouinard Art Institute
building was commemorated with the unveiling of its City Landmark, further solidifying its
place in Los Angeles history. Much hard work went into making this a reality by Gil Cedillo,
Luis Garza, Armando Vasquez-Ramos and documentarian/photographer Gary Leonard,
without whom this dedication would not have happened."
