“Back in 2003, I told John
Van Hamersveld that
somebody should make
a 昀椀lm about him. 10 years
later, I began putting
crews together to gather
footage of his shows and
murals so that a future
昀椀lmmaker could use it. Not
being a 昀椀lmmaker, I never
thought that would be me,
and I guess I became one
in the process. In 2016,
Alexandra Duparc brought
in Christopher Sibley and
Andrew Van Wyk and we
somehow put it all together.
By 2019 we were done and
got accepted to the Santa
Barbara International
Film Festival and the 昀椀lm
ended up winning 15
awards internationally
including an acceptance
for Oscar review.”
